The body of a man has been recovered in the search for missing Bankie Scott Anderson.
Anderson, 51, was last seen on Friday, October 2 around 11.30pm near the bus stop in Chalmers Street, Clydebank.
Police Scotland confirmed today the body of a man was found in the canal in the town centre around 5.20pm on Thursday.
The family have been made aware of the discovery.
Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death. The death is not being treated as suspicious, said police.
