KEVIN Bridges has revealed how Oasis inspired his comedy career during an appearance on BBC Radio 2.
Speaking to presenter Vernon Kay, the Clydebank comedian revealed that watching a VHS tape of the band's Live Forever... There and Then, which showed them performing live at Maine Road in Manchester, inspired him to just "go for it" and do stand-up.
He said: "Oasis made being a big star and standing in front of all those people sound accessible and the only thing that's maybe holding me back is just going for it."
The then 17-year-old contacted The Stand Comedy Club that night saying he would love to try stand-up despite never having done it before.
A month later, 'Eva' from The Stand phoned him and said they'd like to book him in for an open mic spot the following week.
He continued: "It was probably that tune, that night, at that party, watching that performance by Liam that gave me that [push] to just go out and go for it."
Sharing a clip of the interview on Instagram, The Stand Comedy Club wrote: "Moral of the story here is: Just give it a try."
