BOWMAN Irene (Rene) 13.6.1928 - 30.11.2016 After a life lived long and well, Rene Bowman, widow of Bill Bowman and resident of Old Kilpatrick, died peacefully in the presence of her daughter Marion at Ravenswood House, Hill View Care Home. Involved over a very long period with the local Red Cross, Sea Cadets and Multiple Sclerosis Society, Rene worked for many years at Mount Blow School, retiring as Assistant Head. Marion and Leslie would like to thank all the staff at Ravenswood House for their great compassion, good humour and professionalism, especially during Rene’s final illness. Thanks also to Dr Andrew Hill and Old Kilpatrick Medical Practice, and Alister McLaren (McLaren & McKechnie Opticians). Marion is grateful to family and friends and to the many people who visited and assisted Rene over the years, including former carers and neighbours at Erskine View, visitors from Dalmuir Barclay Church, especially faithful friends Gil and Wilma Demellweek, and Rene’s adored son-in-law Leslie. Rene will be fondly remembered.
