MISSING woman Karen Brown has been spotted boarding a bus to London, the Post can reveal.

Clydebank police confirmed the 47-year-old, from Linnvale, boarded a Megabus from Buchanan Bus station at 8.20am on Saturday.

Karen's hubsand, Jock Brown, and their children, Jemma and Chloe, have all seen the footage and identified Mrs Brown.

The mum-of-two does not have her purse but is believed to be carrying cash.

Mr Brown, 48, fought back tears as he said: "We know you've had a lot on your mind recently and a lot on your plate and we want you to come home.

"We all miss and love you and you're needed here. Please contact us."

Inspector David Quinn told a press conference today that his team are now investigating a second potential sighting at the famous Hamley's toy store in the capital.

A Clydebank resident on holiday in the city recognised a woman she believed to be Karen from social media appeals and approached her.

The witness asked "are you Karen?", and she replied "yes".

The incident occurred yesterday at 10.20am.

Police Scotland is now working with Metropolitan police to confirm the potential sighting.

Insp Quinn said: "Karen's been missing since Friday, October 13, from her home address.

"She's a mother of two girls, recently became a grandmother.

"She was last seen shortly before midnight."

He added: "We can't see any reason any apparent reason for her disappearance and if she sees this I would ask she gets in touch with police or her family."

Insp Quinn explained Karen had came home for a shift in Asda Clydebank around 10pm that night and spoke to Mr Brown and Chloe, who were playing Monopoly, before heading to bed.

When Mr Brown awoke the next morning she was gone but her phone, purse and handbag where left behind - although it was not unusual for Mrs Brown to take only her house keys to work.

Insp Quinn added: "There's nothing in her life, nothing in her background that would give us any indiciation why she would leave.

"It's compltely out of character."

Mr Brown said his wife has no family or friends in the London area but it is a "comfortable" place for the new grandmother, who frequented the area whilst travelling to visit Mr Brown in Portsmouth during his time in the navy.

And he explained the couple had celebrated their 24th anniversary in the city, during their first "kid-free" trip.

He said: "I wouldn't be surprised if she's there looking for something for Millie, our granddaughter, or even Chloe.

"I'm feeling very good today by comparison. The last couple of days we've been trying to fight negativity with absolutely no understanding where she was, was she safe - it's been tough.

"Initially you just go to that dark place but with two daughters and a granddaughter, I've had to stay strong and try and remain positive."

He added: "[The Clydebank residents] have been phenomenal.

"The dance school Chloe attends in Whitecrook, the mums have been out looking and putting up posters to silly o'clock.

"Everybody has been absolutely fantastic, Call Yersel a Bankie, the Clydebank Post have been brilliant."

Jemma, 22, also said how her mum has been a major help to her as she entered motherhood.

Cradling newborn Millie, Jemma said: "She's been really helpful. She sees Millie loads.

"There's always a fight over who gets to hold her and feed her. She's always checking in."

The Post previously told how family and friends had appealed for members of the public to look out for Karen.

Passengers onboard the 8.20am MegaBus from Glasgow to London are asked to contact Clydebank police on 101.
