LINNVALE Primary pupils picked the brains of the police, fire service and journalists as part of their World of Work Day recently.
The day, held at the school on Thursday, June 21, involved a careers fair in the morning and a quick round meet and greet activity in the afternoon.
The meet and greet allowed pupils to speak to a variety of industry experts – including Tristan Stewart-Robertson from the Post – and gain information on their line of work.
Some pupils have even gained work experience from a number of local businesses.
World of Work Day was organised by class teachers Lesley Dalrymple and Steph James, who were overwhelmed by the support they had from the experts who inspired pupils on the day.
Visitors commended the pupils for their excellent questions and maturity, and thoroughly enjoyed sharing their expertise.
