It’s going to be a summer to remember for one creative arts hub in Clydebank.
Awestruck Academy is one of 167 community groups across Scotland sharing £1,107,301 worth of funding.
National Lottery Awards for All Scotland provides grants worth £300 to £10,000 and Awestruck, who moved to new premises on Sylvania Way last year, have received £9,300.
The group will use the funding to run a variety of weekly art and music classes for babies and young children and their parents, and people who are not in work. There will also be weekly youth club sessions.
Elsewhere in West Dunbartonshire, Renton Community Development Trust received a £8,100 cash boost. This will be used to fund the purchase a boiler and large space heater for The John Connolly Centre.

A National Lottery Awards for All Scotland spokesperson said: “With summer in full swing, today’s £1.1 million funding boost will provide a wide range of community, sport and arts activities for people and families across the country. This funding will have a huge impact bringing people together to have fun, learn new skills and meet their neighbours.”
National Lottery Awards for All Scotland is now more straightforward to apply to and faster to get funding from.
Applications are received on a rolling basis and can be received at any time.
