CHILDREN in Clydebank will soon have their very own Roman themed playpark to enjoy.
The Rediscovering the Antonine Wall project started construction on the site in Goldenhill Park on August 5, with work estimated to last three to four weeks.
The playpark has been developed with children from Goldenhill Primary School and will celebrate the Roman heritage of the area and help to raise awareness of the Duntocher Roman Fort.
The project, that promotes the history of the Antonine Wall, received £980,000 funding from the National Lottery last year.

Part of the 63km world heritage site lies within Goldenhill Park, where the new playpark is being erected.
A spokeswoman for West Dunbartonshire Council said: “The Roman themed playpark will be designed with the help of local schoolchildren so visitors can explore and play while learning about the historic site.
“We are very fortunate to have this wonderful part of history on our doorstep and we are committed to ensuring the people of West Dunbartonshire and beyond can rediscover and enjoy the Antonie Wall’s fascinating story and bring this historic landmark back to life.”
