A NEW travel consultant has joined the team at Barrhead Travel Clydebank following her Modern Apprenticeship Programme graduation.

Hollie McPeake started her journey with the travel agents at age 16, after leaving St Peter the Apostle High in October 2017.

Since then she has received on-the-job training and mentored study.

Hollie said: “I have always had a love for travel and although I enjoyed my time at school, I was ready to kick start my career. I was delighted when I found an opportunity to continue my education whilst gaining real life experience in travel. My team could not have been more supportive throughout my apprenticeship and I am delighted to now be fully qualified in an industry I love.”

Tony Sillars, franchise owner, added: “I’m absolutely delighted for Hollie. It’s been so rewarding for me to watch her grow in our business and become a very confident and mature part of our team.

Booking cruises, weddings and tailor-made packages to suit all types of customer needs has become the norm for Hollie and she deserves complete credit for this qualification.”
