NEW plans have been announced to re-open the Hardgate Post Office – but in Duntocher.
The previous branch in Kilbowie Road closed in February 2017 due to the resignation of the Postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for the Post Office use.
But the company are keen to restore the service to the area as soon as possible and have plans to open a branch in SPAR, Dumbarton Road, Duntocher, on Thursday, March 19 at 1pm.
Robert Sharp, Post Office change manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to restore Post Office service to the area.
“We will also be making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
"We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
