THE road at the Old Kilpatrick rail bridge has now reopened - despite a previous delay.
On February 17, the road was expected to reopen however, due to storm Ciara, works were delayed and the new opening date was February 21.
But, the road reopened earlier than expected on Tuesday morning (Feb 18) at 6am.
A Network Rail spokesman told the Post: “Despite the horrible weather conditions over the weekend, the team worked around the clock to complete installation of the bridge and reinstatement of the carriageway and we were able to open the road this morning.
