DJ George Bowie has pledged to play a live concert to help a leading children’s hospice charity from the balcony of his home on Friday.

The 51-year-old, who has presented shows from Clyde 1’s Clydebank studios since 1990, will broadcast a selection of his GBX Anthems via Facebook Live at 3pm this Friday, April 24, for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).

It’s the latest in a series of afternoon sets from George who has beamed his club bangers into well over half a million homes since Covid-19 prompted widespread self-isolation last month.

Rachel Gedge, community fundraiser ay CHAS, said: “We are so pleased that George has stepped up, along with various other DJs around Scotland, to fund raise for us at this particularly difficult time.

“It’s a huge morale boost for us and for the families we support. Fundraisers like this one mean we can keep supporting families who need us now more than ever.

“We can’t wait to tune in, and can’t thank him enough for throwing an afternoon rave-up.”

Fans can tune in to George’s daytime fundraiser at 3pm on Friday at facebook.com/gbxanthems.
