A HARDGATE singer who has been forced to cancel a number of gigs has been entertaining her neighbours instead.
Erin Ponsonby sings and plays the guitar from her driveway every Thursday at 8pm to show support for key workers, and to give her neighbours something to look forward to.
The 21-year-old has also been performing live on social media – with thousands of people from across the world tuning in.
Erin has been living in Perth for the past few years whilst she has been studying music at the University of the Highlands and Islands. But due to coronavirus, she is now back at the family home in Hardgate.
The former Goldenhill Primary and Clydebank High pupil told the Post: “Initially I went out with my bagpipes and I’ve been out a few times with my guitar now.
“It’s to give people something to look forward to during lockdown and dedicate some songs to the NHS and all the key workers on the front line.
“There are a few nurses in my street so it’s nice to show some appreciation.

“The neighbours have been loving it. I’ve had messages from people saying it’s the highlight of their week.”
And it’s not only Hardgate residents who have been kept entertained by Erin.
The musician has streamed four ‘Covid Connections’ gigs via Facebook Live – with more than 12,500 people tuning in.
The acoustic pop/folk singer-songwriter was due to launch her new EP at an event on April 10 in Glasgow before lockdown limits put paid to her plans.
Erin said: “I couldn’t do my EP launch and I’ve had about 13 other gigs cancelled because of the current situation so it’s a bit of a shame really.”
The singer has previously gigged in famous Glasgow venues such as King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and the Barrowlands, and has toured the UK supporting fellow musicians Into the Ark.
Erin’s EP, Little Town, has since been released on all digital platforms, following the release of her debut single Want Me Too, and she is excited to let people hear what she’s been working on in the studio recently.
