Another life has been lost to the coronavirus in a West Dunbartonshire care home even as the pandemic continues to slow.
The National Records of Scotland (NRS) reported that in the past week, 36 people died from suspected or confirmed Covid-19, according to their death certificates.
West Dunbartonshire's total since March now stands at 123, with the number of fatalities in care homes rising from 58 to 59.
A total of 4,155 people have died across Scotland in the pandemic, but the ninth consecutive fall in weekly numbers and the lowest weekly total since mid-March.
This week is the first time since March 23-29 that the total number of deaths registered, at 1,006, was below the five-year weekly average, of 1,026.
The NRS statistics are published weekly and account for all deaths registered in Scotland where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
They differ from the lab-confirmed coronavirus deaths announced daily by the Scottish Government as they include suspected or probable cases of Covid-19.
