A MAN has appeared in court in connection with an alleged incident in Duntocher on Tuesday.

Alexander Andrew MacQueen, 31, from Clydebank, appeared in private at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on August 19 on eight separate charges.

He is accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner in Craigielea Road on August 18.

A second charge alleges that he drove a vehicle without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for others on the same day.

Prosecutors also allege that he failed to give police information about the identity of the driver of a vehicle, and that he failed to provide police with a specimen of breath following the alleged incident.

Two further charges claim that he assaulted police officers, while the final charge alleges that he committed a breach of the peace.

Mr MacQueen made no plea or declaration in respect of any of the charges, and the case was committed for further examination. He was granted bail.
