Police are investigating a number of telephone frauds in Clydebank area in which residents have been called by someone pretending to be from HMRC and threatening them with an arrest warrant if tax owed was not paid.
Officers say that in some of these cases people have passed over large amounts of money, and are asking the public to be vigilant.
