A CLYDEBANK student has struck comedy gold with a quick video poking fun at his home town.
Lewis Smith is a psychology student at Strathclyde University by day and a viral TikTok star by night.
The 23-year-old from Radnor Park decided he wanted to create a better version of a popular video he saw on the social media app by using the views from his home town.
The TikTok video starts with a clip looking out over New York to the tune of Empire State of Mind by Alicia Keys and then flips to Lewis filming his view of the town followed the words 'New York' getting replaced by him singing "Clydebank" in his Scottish accent.
Lewis told the Post: "I saw the New York one and thought I can do one better.
"I never actually thought I would get many views from it really because I didn't have many followers or anything before the video so I was shocked when I seen my following and likes go up from just that video.
"I don't normally do comedy videos on my TikTok but I think I might since it's doing so well."
The short video has received over 630k views and 120.8 likes which can be watched on TikTok at lewisdearmaria1.
