AN ATTEMPTED housebreaking in Whitecrook has prompted a police appeal for witnesses.
The property in Braes Avenue was targeted at about 11.50pm on April 29.
A suspect is described as being a white man, 5ft 10ins tall, aged in their early 30s to late 40s, heavy build and with dark, receding hair.
He was wearing a dark coloured body warmer with hood, tracksuit trousers and a face mask.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2207 of May 3.

Meanwhile in a seperate incident, a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal after an alleged attempt to break into a property in Dalmuir.
A 51-year-old man was arrested after a reported incident around 10.30pm on April 30 in The Crescent.
