ScotRail has received reports of a vehicle striking a bridge in the Dumbarton East station area.
As a result of the collision, the rail company has warned that services between Helensburgh Central and Edinburgh, and between Balloch and Airdrie, may be delayed by up to eight minutes.
Services are still able to pass over the bridge at a reduced speed. Engineers are reported to be on the way to the site to carry out an inspection of the damage.
