The full reopening of a major Drumchapel road has been postponed until November.
The stretch of Kinfauns Drive between Drumry Road East and Hecla Avenue, outside the area’s shopping centre, was set to reopen on Friday, September 3 following the completion of water main works in the area.
However, in an email to area councillor Elspeth Kerr last week, a spokesperson for the contractors admitted this date will be unachievable due to the discovery of additional faults in the area.

One lane of the road is now due to reopen towards the end of September, with a one-way system in place.
Cllr Kerr initially said she had been told the road would not reopen in full until the spring, but was later told by Scottish Water that the full reopening is expected by late November.
