THE Clydebank star of a viral Hallowe’en video is back to dazzle residents of the town with his latest themed event.
Before Covid, hundreds of people would flock to Oli Keenan’s family home in Linnvale to see the spooky spectacles put on by the 24-year-old.
After last year’s plans had to be cancelled because of the pandemic, Oli is back this year with a new theme - Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice.
He told the Post: “We’ve been building sets for months. We don’t decorate the front of the house until the morning of Hallowe’en so we don’t ruin the surprise.
“We’ve got lights, fog machines and live actors, so it should be good.
“Every year we get hundreds of people coming to see it and the street is packed. It’s great to see the smiles and sometimes some fear.
“It’s my parents’ house that I do it at because they have a garden. The neighbours love it and get right into it.
“We just do it for the community because we love Hallowe’en and as a family we’re really into horror movies.
“We never expected it to become what it is now. It started off with a few gravestones and pumpkins and now I’m preparing for this all year round.”
Oli built up a reputation after he starred in a creepy clown Pennywise video which was viewed by more than 21 million people.
He now works full-time in social media, creating Pennywise videos for horror fans.
Oli added: “We’ve done the Hallowe’en House most years but it really started in 2018 when we did a full ‘It’ theme.
“A video of that went viral and got 21 million views in two days.
“The following year we did The Shining, I covered the outside in fake snow and I played Jack Nicholson’s character from the film.
“We had live actors there and went live on TV that year. It grew a bit of a following from that.
“It’s completely free of charge and we do it for the local community so they can enjoy themselves.”
Oli is hard at work putting the finishing touches to this year’s themed event ahead of October 31.
