SCOTSTOUN post office is to temporarily close following the postmaster’s resignation and the withdrawal of the premises.
The Dumbarton Road branch will suspend services on January 18, with bosses not ruling out an "alternative type of service" going forward.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “We would like to apologise for the inconvenience the temporary closure may cause.
“The provision of a Post Office service to our customers in the local community is important to us, and we will continue to work hard to restore services in the area as soon as possible.”
Postal chiefs are calling on anyone interested in running the branch to visit the website for further details.
And there could be changes to its current operation, as a representative added: "Future provision will reflect customer numbers and usage and we may take the opportunity to establish an alternative type of service.
"This may be a local style branch which runs alongside an established retail shop in newly refurbished premises and creates a more modern and convenient experience for customers."
Affected customer are advised to use alternative facilities at Scotstounhill or Anniesland Road.
