THE glitter ball came to Clydebank recently as part of sparkling efforts to raise funds for the town’s musical society.
Clydebank Musical Society (CMS) hosted the Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser on Saturday, August 13 to help them stage their production of High School Musical in October.
Due to rising costs, CMS has had to pull out all of the stops this year to bring the show to the stage at Clydebank Town Hall.
Nine couples took to the floor, all of whom are part of the cast of the upcoming show, and put on a fabulous performance.
The event raised £3,419, which will go towards production costs.
There was also a special judge in attendance on the night, River City star Gayle Telfer Stevens – a former CMS junior.
Elaine Haddock, a member of the board at CMS, said: “Massive well done to our dancers, judges, and a huge thank you to everyone that came along.”
