Police have renewed an appeal for a Clydebank man who has been reported missing in the Borders.
Previously, the Post told how police had appealed for the public's help finding Ben Cameron, who was last seen on Thursday, August 18.
A statement was issued by Police Scotland on Monday announcing that the 21-year-old had been found safe and well.
However, in an update provided to the Post, police said Ben was still being regarded as a missing person.
Ben was last seen in Nenthorn, outside Kelso, around 8.20pm on Thursday, August 18.
He is described as white, 5 ft 10in, of medium build, with dark hair, has a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm.
Police say it is not known what he was wearing at the time but he is believed to have a black holdall with him.
Inspector David Rourke, from Police Scotland, said: “Ben was staying in Nenthorn whilst working in the area, however, it appears that he left the address in the early hours on Friday (August 19).
“He didn’t let anyone know where he was going but, the fact that he left and hasn’t been at work since or in contact with family and friends is concerning for us all.
“We’d also ask Ben himself to get in touch with family, friends or the police just to let us know he is ok.”
Anyone who may have seen him, or have any knowledge as to his whereabouts to get in touch with police on 101 quoting reference number 0471 of August 19.
