AN investigation has been launched after youths targeted cars and windows with eggs in Clydebank on Hallowe'en.

Officers said that they received three reports of youngsters throwing eggs in the area between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

The first incident took place shortly after 6pm, when eggs were thrown at the window of a flat on Crown Avenue.

This was followed by eggs being launched at a car on Cochno Road at around 7pm.

In a third incident, police were alerted to eggs being thrown at the McDonald's drive thru restaurant at the Kilbowie Retail Park at around 8.25pm.

Cops confirmed that no one was injured during these incidents and that enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland said: "Between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Monday, October 31, 2022, police received three reports of youths throwing eggs in the Clydebank area.

"The first incident occurred around 6.15 pm in Crown Avenue, Clydebank when eggs were thrown at the window of a flat.

"This was followed by eggs thrown at a car in Cochno Road at around 7pm.

"The third call was received at around 8.25 pm when eggs were thrown at a McDonalds Drive Thru at the Kilbowie Retail Park.

"No-one was injured as a result of the incidents and enquiries are ongoing."
