TRAINS in the Clydebank have been disrupted due to "slippery lines" in the area.
The rail operator announced at 10.31am that there was travel disruption at Dalmuir station and hoped that it would be resolved by 11am.
However, this was later updated to 12noon.
Scotrail say the disruption was caused by slippery rails in the Yoker area.
As this article was published, services were beginning to return to normal, though a full service is not expected to resume until around 1pm.
The issue had a knock-on effect on services at nearby Yoker station, with Scotrail saying services going through the station will terminate at Garscadden.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail Head of Customer Operations, said: “Each autumn, the weather creates challenging and difficult conditions across Scotland’s Railway as leaves fall on the line and make the rails dangerously slippy, and this year is no different.
"People are always a bit sceptical, but the reality is that leaves on the line can be dangerous and lead to disruption like we've seen today.
"Anyone who was delayed by 30 minutes or more as a result of this is entitled to claim for compensation through our Delay Repay Guarantee. Just keep hold of your ticket and claim on the ScotRail website or mobile app."
