THE UK has reportedly fallen out of love with the Scottish accent as it has been voted as one of the least sexiest, according to a new survey.
Despite coming out on top in 2021, the Scottish accent now sits at the bottom of the table alongside Welsh, German, American, and Australian reports the Daily Mirror.
Taking first place is the Mancunian accent which has now been voted as the sexiest in the UK.
Those with the Manc twang have this year been hailed as being the most desirable, a survey by Best Casinos has revealed.
A group of 2,500 people was surveyed and the results found that celebrities including Liam Gallagher, Marcus Rashford, Ryan Thomas, and Gemma Merna, can all claim to now have the sexiest accent.
Manchester scooped gold, whilst its neighbour Liverpool took silver, and finally, Ireland came in behind taking bronze.
In fourth place is those who speak the Queen’s English (London) with Welsh coming in fifth.
More than half of those who took part in the survey said the Manc accent is the sexiest in the UK.
The most “sensual” accents globally were found to be Italian, Irish, and French, according to the survey.
A spokesperson from Best Casino's said: "When it comes to dating, 95% of respondents said it’s important that they like a potential partner’s voice.
"Women find it more important than men do, but just barely: 51% of people who identify as women say it’s extremely important, as opposed to 49% of people who identify as men."
In 2021, the Scottish accent was voted as the sexiest in the UK.
This was according to a survey, conducted by international dating app Happn. A group of 2,000 people were quizzed on the subject and said they found the Scottish accent to be the most attractive.
Around 21 percent of voters chose the Scottish accent with Geordie coming in at second place with 17 percent. Welsh came in at third.
In 2019, the Essex accent was crowned as the sexiest in the UK in a poll by travel company Big 7 Travel.
It was found to be more desirable than the Northern Irish accent, Glaswegians, and those who speak Queen’s English.
