Glasgow Airport will host its biggest-ever jobs fair on Thursday, January 19 with around 500 roles up for grabs.
More than 30 employers based across the airport’s campus will be represented at the event, which will be held on the first floor of the main terminal opposite the entrance to the central search area between 10am and 4pm.
Recruitment teams from a diverse range of airport-based or associated partner companies including air traffic providers NATS, ground handlers Swissport and Menzies, security specialists ICTS, facilities management partner ABM, catering specialists The Restaurant Group and Select Service Partners will be on hand to discuss full-time, part-time and seasonal employment opportunities.
Scotland’s airline Loganair will also be in attendance to recruit for a range of positions.
Transport operators First and McGill’s will also be recruiting for a large number of trainee and Public Service Vehicle (PSV) bus driver positions across their networks.
A number of the airport’s retailers including World Duty Free and both the Celtic and Rangers stores are also taking part.
A diverse range of job opportunities are available across the airport including air traffic control services, security, retail, facilities management, catering and ground handling.
There are also a number of direct Glasgow Airport Ltd jobs available in areas of the business including human resources, finance, airfield operations and the control centre.
Ronald Leitch, operations director at Glasgow Airport, said: “As the industry continues its recovery we anticipate that we will welcome an additional one million passengers to Glasgow Airport in 2023.
“Having joined the airport 22 years ago as a management trainee, I can say first hand it is a fantastic and exciting place to work.
"It is a unique and special workplace and there are so many opportunities available to develop a career in the aviation industry.
“I would encourage anyone looking to join the industry to come along on Thursday, January 19 to find out about some of the fantastic jobs on offer at Glasgow Airport in 2023.”
Representatives from Invest in Renfrewshire and Jobcentre Plus staff will also be present at the Jobs Fair to offer support and advice, while translators will also be on hand to support Polish, Romanian and Ukrainian jobseekers.
Those attending should bring with them an up-to-date CV and valid ID such as a passport of driving license. Given the security requirements involved in working at an airport, many of the roles on offer will require a full five-year checkable history.
