POLICE Scotland has released new data showing how many registered sex offenders (RSOs) were living in every postcode in Scotland at the end of 2022.
The Post extracted the data, which was produced by the force in December, to show how many RSOs live in each postcode in Clydebank and the surrounding areas.
The numbers tell us that there are currently at least 61 RSOs living in the G81, G60 and G15 postcode areas, covering the whole of the greater Clydebank area as well as Old Kilpatrick, Bowling, Drumchapel and Blairdardie.
The data says that sex offender numbers for G13 and G14, whose coverage areas include Yoker, Garscadden, Knightswood, Scotstoun, Scotstounhill and Whiteinch, are 'exempted under the Freedom of Information Scotland Act', but does not explain the reason for the exemptions.
The statistics also reveal that there are 161 RSOs living across the Argyll and West Dunbartonshire police division - the second lowest across Scotland.
There are also 53 RSOs currently in police custody or in hospital.
Find below our interactive map detailing each Clydebank area postcode and the number of RSOs living there.
