A DRIVER has been reported after they were allegedly clocked travelling at nearly 40mph over the speed limit in Clydebank.
Officers from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit in Dumbarton stopped the motorist on the A82 - which is a 50mph zone - on Thursday (January 26).
The driver will be reported to the court in connection with the alleged offence.
On Tuesday (January 24), a man was jailed for 16 months after knocking down a pedestrian whilst on the same road.
John Paul-Smith, 42, from Dumbarton was speeding at 71mph whilst on a phone call when he struck Christopher Devine, 34, from Clydebank on November 23, 2020.
The 34-year-old suffered fatal injuries following the collision.
