Kevin Bridges' debut novel The Black Dog is to be released in paperback on June 1.
The much-loved Clydebank comedian wrote his first book during the Covid lockdowns and previously credited his lack of patience to "perform comedy over Zoom" as the reason he first picked up a pen.
Now, after its hardback publication in August last year, The Black Dog will be available as a paperback.
Announcing the news to his 175,000 Instagram followers, Bridges joked that a certain monarch took some time away from his coronation plans to praise the book.
Bridges said: "Thursday, June 1 this is out in paperback.
"King Charles himself got in touch to say him and all his pals thought it was class."
Before adding: "Happy Wednesday my friends.
The book follows the story of main character Declan as he dreams of one day becoming a famous writer.
