IT’S going to be Wet, Wet, Wet today as a Met Office yellow weather warning is in place across West Dunbartonshire.
Local residents are being warned of heavy showers with a chance of thunderstorms.
The warning is set to be in place from 5pm to 11pm.
The forecaster said there may be some localised disruption during this period including flooding of homes and businesses, short-term power losses, and delays to train services.
What to expect
- Some flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely, leading to some damage to buildings or structures.
- Probably some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes.
- There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water, and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.
- Delays to train services are possible.
- Some short-term loss of power and other services is likely.
