A MAN is due in court today after being charged in connection with an alleged assault in Clydebank.
We previously reported that emergency services responded to the Littleholm Place area shortly before 7pm on Wednesday following reports that two men had been assaulted.
Police confirmed the men, aged 36 and 25, had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
It is understood their injuries were serious but non-life threatening.
In an updated statement today, officers revealed a 31-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.
He is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of two men having been assaulted in the Littleholm Place area of Clydebank shortly before 7pm on Wednesday, June 14.
“The men, aged 36 and 25, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.
“A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Friday, June 16, 2023.”
