NOBODY was injured during Sunday’s fire at a Clydebank chippy on Kilbowie Road.
At around 3.20pm yesterday, firefighters were called out to reports of a blaze at the site of Adriano’s fish and chip shop.
Four fire crews fought the blaze for over two hours until the area was then deemed safe and secure.
The Post understands the fire has not been classed as ‘wilful fire-raising.’
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson explained: “We were alerted at 3.21pm on Sunday, July 9, to reports of a fire at a commercial premises on Kilbowie Road, Clydebank.
"Operations control mobilised four fire appliances and firefighters extinguished the fire.
"There were no reported casualties and crews left at 6pm after ensuring the area was safe."
Police confirmed officers did attend the scene but only to offer support to firefighters.
