A MUCH-LOVED Clydebank restaurant insists they just love Bankies 'enthusiasm' for its concept as it outlined plans to add a new dessert shop to its offering.

Boofi opened its doors in November 2021 and bosses feel now is the right time to step things up a gear with the relaunch of dessert brand Pure Sweet within its Britannia Way outlet.

The owners of the all-you-can-eat diner previously ran a Pure Sweet home delivery and takeaway service from the current Boofi site during the Covid-19 pandemic as restrictions meant a buffet could not operate.

Now, with the restaurant thriving and all restrictions long gone, bosses feel it is the right time to reintroduce a delivery dessert service to the area.

Manager Lucy Foye reflected on the first 20 months of Boofi and the aim moving forward.

She said: "There have been ups and down, but I think overall it’s what Clydebank needed.

“We have obviously got a lot of enthusiastic people in the community coming in, they finally have a buffet in the area, we are opening up to a wider audience and yeah, it’s been really good.”

Before adding: “The dream is to have it bouncing in here 24/7 and reaching out to a larger audience.”

Relationships have been built between staff and customers since they first opened their doors with Lucy advising the eatery has their 'regulars' just like you may find in a bar or pub.

And the young chief revealed the best is yet to come from the all-you-can-eat diner.

Lucy added: “We have incorporated a lot more different cuisines into the menu.

“People are loving the food we have now and we have just ramped it up a bit.”

The upcoming addition of a Pure Sweet dessert shop within the restaurant's four walls comes off the back of the team adapting to the unique landscape the Covid-19 pandemic created for hospitality venues.

Plans for the Boofi opening in 2020 were shelved for the takeaway dessert shop in its place during the lockdown restrictions and Lucy can't wait to see it finally running alongside the restaurant.

"Diners can order desserts from Pure Sweet straight to their table," Lucy finished.

"Or you could be sitting in your back garden and we will get the dessert delivered straight to you."
