A BIRD of prey has been discovered in a Knightswood street sparking an appeal to trace its owner.
The bird, reported to possibly be an eagle or Harris Hawk, was found on Rampart Avenue.
The Scottish SPCA said it received reports of the stray bird after it was spotted in multiple gardens in the area.
SSPCA officers have so far been unable to contain it.
It is also reported that it has two chains around its ankles.
The animal welfare charity is urging the owner or anyone who recognises the bird to phone its animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
