Clydebank's MSP has praised a postie for keeping the community connected for nearly four decades.
Marie McNair joined Alan Deefholts on his morning round through Linnvale during a visit to the town's Royal Mail Delivery Office.
Alan has been hand-delivering the area's mail for 37 years.
And Ms McNair had nothing but good things to say about a man who has served the area so well over the years.
She said: “I thoroughly enjoyed this visit, with the highlight being getting to join postie Alan on his morning round.
"Alan has served our community for 37 years and is a credit to the post service.”
During the visit, Ms McNair was given a tour of the delivery depot by another Alan - Alan Drysdale - where met with numerous other members of staff to learn about what they do across the delivery office.
And she thanked all the 'dedicated' staff who were providing the 'highest possible service' during her tour of the facility.
She added: “I would like to thank all the staff at the Clydebank Delivery Office for giving me such a warm welcome.
“It was fascinating to learn about the detailed and important work the posties are doing in our local office.
“It was also clear just how dedicated they are to supporting the residents of Clydebank and surrounding areas."
