A SPECIAL ABBA fan event is heading to a Clydebank cinema next month to celebrate the release of a remastered movie about the hit Swedish pop group.
ABBA: The Movie will be dancing its way into the town's Empire Cinema in September with a two-day experience filled with exclusive extras for devotees of the supergroup.
These include an insight from the creators of the phenomenally successful London-based concert ABBA: Voyage, a glimpse at ABBA The Museum in Stockholm and lyric videos from hit songs.
The iconic ABBA film - originally released in 1977 - takes fans on a flashback journey to the 1970s when disco reigned supreme and ABBA were royalty.
The mockumentary-style feature follows Bjorn, Agnetha, Anni-Frid and Benny as they tour Australia in 1977 and the re-release comes with rarely seen footage of the tour.
Now, the return of the film to the big screen will allow the new generation of ABBA fans - largely inspired by the successful Mamma Mia movies - to get a real-life glimpse of the band during the height of their popularity.
The two-day event takes place on September 17 and 19.
