A disused Clydebank site is set to be turned into new homes after the council sold it to a developer for £225,000.
The site of a former daycare centre on the Auchentoshan Estate will be turned into social housing consisting of a mix of new-build detached, semi-detached and terraced homes.
The area has lain empty since the centre was closed in 2009 and the building subsequently demolished.
West Dunbartonshire Council also announced land at Duntcoher Road, adjacent to Kilbowie Roundabout, is to be made into an electric vehicle charging station and battery storage after it to was sold to a private buyer.
The site - also disused - was sold for £500,000 plus VAT and takes the total raised by the council in the two sales to over £750,000.
Councillor Lawrence O’Neill, vice convener of Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “These sales are fantastic news for the council and our communities.
"It is particularly pleasing that developers see so much potential in buying and running businesses in West Dunbartonshire.
"Thanks must go to officers who have worked hard to successfully market these sites.”
Both developments are subject to planning permission being granted.
