A NUMBER of teenagers have been arrested in connection with alleged "unacceptable and threatening behaviour" in Clydebank.

Officers responded to local concerns over anti-social behaviour in the town centre and Chalmers Street area on Friday (August 18). 

Police said the individuals had reportedly travelled to the area and had "shown complete disrespect" for the local community.

Cops will now work with partners to ensure those allegedly involved understand the community's concerns and frustrations.

It has prompted a warning from police that this behaviour "will not be tolerated".

Local residents have been assured that additional attention will be focused on these areas.
