Pensioners have had the chance to enjoy a disco, body boosting bingo and chair exercise among other experiences as part of a wellbeing day in the city.
The council’s leisure provider Glasgow Life hosted Tuesday’s event for older residents and people with disabilities at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre on Tuesday.
About 150 people turned up at the venue, which saw 26 stalls laid out as well as a range of fun activities.
Police Scotland, support service Glasgow Helps, Glasgow Life teams, the NHS and other organisations were on hand to offer advice and guidance.
Diane Cunningham, of Glasgow Life, said: “It was a fantastic event. We had around 150 older people attend and 26 stallholders made up of local and city wide partners and stakeholders.”
Ms Cunningham added: “Participants visited the stalls as well as take part in a range of activities such as walking football, table tennis, body boosting bingo, chair exercise, boccia, target games, health walks and badminton.”
The day was finished off with tea, coffee, cakes and a disco.
Another two events are in the calendar for September and October.
Scotstoun leisure centre will host an event on Tuesday September 26 from 10am to 1pm. There will also be one at Bellahouston Leisure Centre on Friday Octboer 27 from 10am to 1pm.
