It was girl's night at the Clydebank Town Hall last week as a Faifley dance school celebrated its one-year birthday with a sellout anniversary show.
Twelve months ago, Erin Graham started Cloud 9 Dance with the aim of building confidence in the area’s kids through dance.
Now, 25-year-old Erin – who juggles her university studies with growing her dance empire – put on an exhibition of flair and talent with her young stars in front of 400 proud parents and guests.
One parent told Erin after the stunning performance: “You are a headstrong, confident woman who is creating young confident girls and I think that needs to be commended.
“In this day and age, I think you showing these girls that as a woman you can be whatever you want if you put your mind to it is incredible.
“Be so proud of yourself. [You are] breaking the glass ceiling.”
The group have come a long way in their first year.
Last year, they were performing out of Faifley Parish Church and the Skypoint Community Centre, a show in December selling 145 tickets.
And now, after selling out the bigger town hall, Erin’s mum Stacey described it as an “amazing success.”
Well done Erin!
