TWELVE people have been identified following a spate of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in Clydebank town centre. 

Officers said that over the summer they received a "high number" of complaints of disorder and ASB at the transport hub on Chalmers Street. 

These incidents are said to have affected public confidence as well as bus and rail services in the area.

In May we reported that police were cracking down on ASB in the town and that an action plan involving cops, ScotRail, West Dunbartonshire Council, and British Transport Police was underway.

The partnership deployed CCTV, implemented crime prevention measures, and directed patrols in the area to identify those involved. 

Now, 12 individuals have been identified. 

It is understood that Police Scotland is working with its partners and the criminal justice process to make those involved aware of the impact their behaviour is having on the local community.

Officers added that there has been a decrease in the number of ASB incidents reported in this area recently. 

However, they will "not be complacent" and will continue to monitor community concerns.
