A CLYDEBANK supermarket celebrated a milestone birthday recently.
Asda marked 25 years of serving the town at its store on Brittania Way on Thursday, October 12.
The supermarket giant originally opened over 35 years ago in the Clyde Shopping Centre – in the unit that recently housed Wilko – but has been at its new unit for a quarter of a century now.
Maryanne Scott, who is community champion at Asda Clydebank, told the Post that some of the original team continue to work at the town’s store today.
To celebrate the occasion staff enjoyed cake and a variety of food including sandwiches, pizza, and sausage rolls.
