A MUCH-LOVED Clydebank chippy has done it again after being named Best Restaurant Takeaway In Scotland at a prestigious award ceremony last night.
McMonagles took home the accolade at the Scottish Takeaway Awards - the second year in a row they have been crowned the best in Scotland.
It's another fantastic achievement for the family-owned chippy on a boat, an establishment which has become a landmark in Clydebank.
And it will taste all the sweeter this year, with the McMonagle team celebrating their 30th year as one of Clydebank's most loved eateries.
It was started by John and Agnes McMonagle in 1993, who set out to create a unique place for the community to enjoy food.
The couple had the boat specially made in Campbeltown for this very purpose, and named it after their firstborn, daughter Debbie, who is now general manager.
Debbie also met her husband Chris at the restaurant, with the happy couple still working together with Chris the man behind making the food.
The pair were in attendance as they picked up their award on Monday evening at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow.
Congrats from everyone at the Clydebank Post.
