A GROUP hoping to regenerate a Scotstoun bowling green into a new state-of-the-art community sports facility will hold its final public engagement event next week.
On The Ball Academy hopes to make a nine-a-side football pitch the main feature of their sports hub and has been actively engaging with the local community to gather feedback on their proposals.
The bid to transform the Danes Drive site has been met with some resistance during the summer, with Kingsway Community Connections (KCC) objecting to the plans, explaining their high-rise residents would lose a free open space.
However, OTB intends to push forward with the plans and will meet on November 2 at Corpus Christi Primary School between 5pm and 6.30pm.
The SFA silver quality mark academy has promised to provide 1000 hours of free football as well as investing in the community and giving young people a space to look after.
And they hope any and all interested parties attend the upcoming engagement event to find out all the latest updates to the bid.
