Clydebank’s famous fish and chip boat is toasting yet more success after taking home another top award last night.
McMonagles backed up winning Best Restaurant Takeaway in Scotland at the Scottish Takeaway Awards in October by being crowned Best Fish Tea at the Scottish Fish and Chips Awards on Monday.
The much-loved eatery – which is celebrating its 30th year this year – is now celebrating three awards in just over a year and took to Facebook to announce the good news to Bankies.
They wrote: “And again. We won!
“Best Fish Tea in Scotland.
“All down to our staff, our customers and our catch of the day.
Thank you to everyone.”
McMonagles wasn’t the only Clydebank chippy who won an accolade at the Glasgow Doubletree Hilton event on Monday evening.
Hardgate’s Perfect Catch was given a Highly Recommended nod in the Best Pizza in the west award, only losing out on top spot to winner Quintiliani's Fast Food from Larkhall.
Congrats to both McMonagles and Perfect Catch from everyone at the Clydebank Post.
