Nearly 200 Clydebank and Old Kilpatrick rainbows, brownies, girl guides and rangers were jumping for joy during a Christmas trip to Innoflate.
More than 180 girls were joined by their leaders as they travelled by bus to the Rutherglen venue.
Nine-year-old brownie Isla enjoyed the trip, adding: “I liked that all my friends and I got to play together and had great fun.”
Girl guide Orla, 12, said: “It was so good – and so tiring. I can’t wait to come back and do it all again.”
The visit was made possible thanks to funding the district had left over from the Year of Young People cash-pot.
The Year of Young People was in 2020 and West Dunbartonshire Council created a cash pot of funding for the youth groups to apply for.
Girlguiding in Clydebank successfully applied for the funding before Covid hit and the money was left unused.
Now, more than three years later, the funding – which was offered to give opportunities for girls to get away from their usual meeting place and to have all age groups and units mix– is finally being utilised.
Girlguiding is for girls aged from four to 18.
