Scottish Water insists they hope to have a residential street in Drumchapel fully back open again at the start of next week.
The utility supplier says work to replace a defective manhole cover on Golf Drive will require part of the street to be closed completely for much of Monday, January 8.
A section of the road between Manor Road and Gowanlea Avenue will be shut to motorists whilst engineers work to fix the issue.
A local diversion (along Manor Road and Gowanlea Avenue) will be in operation as the work is carried out between 9.30 am and 6 pm.
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “We would like to thank residents, road users and customers for their patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work.”
