*We have been told by Asda they have now reopened (4.50 pm)
Clydebank Asda has reportedly closed due to the till systems going down, the Post has been told.
Just before 3 pm on Friday, customers of the supermarket giant told how they were asked to leave by management due to a failure with the checkouts.
And, at around 3.30 pm, Bankies told the Clydebank Post the superstore was closed to the public.
When approached by the Clydebank Post, Asda confirmed the store was currently closed.
An Asda spokesperson said: "We've had to temporarily close our Clydebank store due to a technical issue.
"We're working hard to re-open as soon as possible and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
