Volunteers at a local park re-planted a beloved tree which has been part of the community for a decade.
The Peace Tree in Victoria Park was originally placed there in 2014.
After sadly dying, members of Friends of Victoria Park replaced the weeping willow this weekend, which is expected to thrive by the pond.
Robert McKay, of the group, said: "It was planted before my time and we decided to replant it.
"There is a little plaque in its place and people have been asking us about it.
"Now, it is growing again and has been replaced.
"For me, it symbolises a general 'make love, not war' attitude.
"It's a general concept of having peace with your neighbours but also represents inner peace and tranquillity."
